The 60-ECTS postgraduate Master's programme is suitable for interested people from other disciplines who have already gained a minimum of one year of professional experience in this field. In both programmes, you qualify to manage demanding projects for processing and storing large amounts of data. You will acquire practical skills in Data Ingestion, Data Processing, Data Storage, Data Analysis and Reporting. In addition, you can specialise in areas relevant to the labour market - e.g. the Internet of Things, master data management or cyber security.

The structure of the Master's degree in Data Management covers the recording, processing, storing, analysing and reporting of data. In the Data Management distance learning programme, you have the opportunity to choose electives amounting to 20 ECTS credits in the 120 ECTS programme and thus specialise in attractive functions and sectors. You can choose from modules such as: Data Manager for Internet of Things, Data Miner, Master Data Manager, Data Security & Protection Specialist, Business Analyst.
A Master's degree in Data Management provides you with extensive knowledge to undertake demanding tasks in data-driven projects. You are able to implement such projects with different technologies. Your skills are not limited to sub-areas of data storage and data processing: you also have the ability to holistically and efficiently design data-intensive systems. With this expertise, you will become a much sought-after specialist who will be able to make a career as a database expert, data engineer or cloud solution architect.
As a Database Manager, you take care of the efficient and well-organised storage, retrieval and processing of structured data. This includes, among other things, the management of access rights as well as the construction of data models and the creation of query scripts, with the help of which you can answer questions related to these issues.
As a data engineer, you use your expertise to process data in a target-oriented manner. You build backend systems that represent the pipelines and the fuel for modern applications.
Cloud Solution Architects advise companies and organisations on cloud-based systems. With the help of their profound knowledge of central technologies, they design strategies and implement them technically.

- Completed degree from a public or officially recognised university/higher education institution.
- For 60-ECTS programmes, you will need to have already acquired 240 ECTS credits.
- For 120-ECTS programmes, you will need to have 180 ECTS credits.
- At least a “satisfactory” or Grade C equivalent earned in your previous education
To study the 120-ECTS version of this degree, you must have a completed degree with 180 ECTS with a focus on Computer Science, IT or a related field.

- To start a 120-ECTS degree, you will need a minimum of 180 ECTS credits from your previous studies.
- To start a 60-ECTS degree, you will need a minimum of 240 ECTS credits from your previous studies but can “bridge” up to 60 ECTS with 2 years of professional experience.
Once all admissions documents are provided and any relevant admissions courses are complete, you can move forward and finish your degree.
